THE PRAGMATIC APPROACH

A fresh server.
Your own control.

What if professional setup and day-to-day administration did not have to mean a permanent relationship with a management platform?

Start with the right question
SYSLAUNCHER / PAY&GOONE-TIME WORK. INDEPENDENT OPERATION.

01TWO VERY DIFFERENT STARTING POINTS

Where are you
starting from?

An existing managed server and a fresh Linux installation are not the same problem. Pay&Go is deliberately built for one of them.

ALREADY MANAGED

Your server already runs on a platform.

Keep the tools that serve you well. SysLauncher is not a migration tool for an established, running configuration.

CONTINUITY MAY BE THE BETTER CHOICE
FRESH INSTALL

You are preparing a new server.

This is the SysLauncher starting line: configure Linux, verify the result and hand over the system—plus private administration if selected.

BUILT FOR A CLEAN START

02THE PRACTICAL DIFFERENCE

The panel stays
where your server lives.

With optional OD Prepare, the administrative interface is installed on the customer's infrastructure, not hosted as a permanent SysLauncher control plane.

01Private interface — no public management endpoint
02SSH-based private access and TOTP authentication
03Administration continues without a SysLauncher login

For agencies and integrators, each delivery can leave the beneficiary with independent private administration.

The administrator remains responsible for access policy, updates and ongoing maintenance.

03TWO VALID MODELS

Different tools.
Different responsibilities.

A recurring platform earns its place when its continuing services matter. A private panel makes sense when the owner wants to keep administration local.

THE QUESTION CENTRAL MANAGEMENT PLATFORM SYSLAUNCHER / PAY&GO
Where is the panel? Provided through the vendor's management platform On the customer's private infrastructure, if ordered
How is it paid for? Commonly ongoing subscription One-time setup; external infrastructure costs remain
What happens after setup? Continue using hosted management features Administer locally, independently of SysLauncher
Where is the value? Continuous deployment, teamwork and central oversight Controlled handoff, private interface and no required control-plane subscription

Products vary by vendor and plan. A local panel does not automatically replace every deployment, monitoring or collaboration service.

04SECURITY AS AN ARCHITECTURAL CHOICE

One target.
Or a shared target.

Scale makes a central platform a potentially attractive target. A successful high-privilege compromise can have a wide blast radius; isolation matters.

Target concentration

A shared control plane can attract attackers seeking access to multiple customers. This is an incentive, not proof of weaker defenses.

A smaller shared blast radius

Independent private panels remove dependence on one shared SysLauncher admin endpoint after handoff. Each server still needs its own protection.

Hardening that is checked

SysLauncher applies applicable controls and records verifiable outcomes, including CIS-oriented checks and Lynis findings—not an unqualified promise of universal certification.

Handoff includes newly created SSH access material. The customer must rotate the delivered key as agreed; SysLauncher does not retain a persistent administrative channel.

05THE MARKET, WITHOUT CARICATURES

Good products.
Different jobs.

These platforms offer real value. The question is whether their ongoing management model fits your needs.

06A REAL-WORLD COST SCENARIO

One server.
More than one year.

Compare a one-time SysLauncher preparation with a recurring Ploi plan. Different service scopes—this is a fee comparison, not a feature-equivalence claim.

07A REASONABLE CHOICE

Keep what works.
Own what matters.

If you need continuous central management, use it. If you are starting fresh and want a private control panel, a verified setup and independence after handoff, consider Pay&Go.
